There is no doubt about it; Webb Simpson is ON FIRE right now. He has two wins in his last 3 starts, and a multitude of top 5 finishes in the PGA TOUR this year alone. It pretty much goes to show that once he got the first win, the next ones would start to pile up.

And it's not like this guy is having a fluke year or anything. I remember watching him back a few years ago at the AT&T National when he was paired up with Peyton Manning and he impressed. Even Peyton mentioned how good his game was at that time. So, its not like I was the only one that knew he was more than just a regular TOUR player.

With this playoff win over Chez Reavie at the Deutsche Bank Championship, Webb Vaults into the number one position in the Fed Ex Cup, which is a great sign as the playoffs reach the halfway mark. He is in prime position to earn the cool 10 million buck prize.

He is also in the running for the Player of the Year (POY) award for his stellar play throughout the year. This is only a sign of bigger things to come for him, and who knows- this may just be the breakout American we all have been waiting for.
