Webb at the Zurich Classic

This week the PGA Tour visits TPC River Highlands for the Travelers Championship. The current defending champ is Bubba Watson. Who is coming off a bad week at the U.S. Open, but was able to make the cut. My pick of the week is Webb Simpson. Simpson had a decent week at the U.S. Open finishing at 2-under par for the tournament. Simpson is searching for his first win, with several chances this year, but failing to seal the deal. Simpson seems to be following the trends of names like Robert Garrigus. Who also struggled to get that first win. I have confidence that Simpson will break through soon and receive his first victory.  My pick, Lee Westood, for the U.S Open, allowed me to get a one point lead over my fellow blogger. Westwood finished at 6-under par, defeating my fellow blogger’s pick, Matt Kuchar, by four shots. In other news, Mexico is going to the Gold Cup Final after defeating Honduras with a score of 2-0. Mexico will be up against a fierce rival, United States. Expect there to be elbow pushing and yellow cards flying. This game will be an intense match-up.
