Super Bowl XLVIII: Prediction

For avid American Football fans, today is the most bittersweet day of the year. Although today is the pinnacle of the NFL season (Super Bowl, yeah!), it is also the last day of football action until August. But, even with that said, let's focus on the good stuff and get right down to my soon to be terrible prediction of who's going to win the Super Bowl!

Sunday, 6:25 PM EST - Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos

BOVADA line: SEA +3, DEN -3

BOVADA Over/Under: 48

Thoughts: Oh man, this is going to be an intriguing game. By now, everyone knows that we have the number one ranked defense (Seattle) going up against the top offense (Denver). We also know that Denver has the MVP (Manning), while Seattle has the best cornerback (Sherman). Things like these should cancel each other out. It'll now come down to the "x-factors" and their healthy.

For the Seahawks, that's going to be Percy Harvin hands down. If he can stay healthy the entire game, then the Seattle offense & special teams get a boost. He is the playmaker that Russell Wilson has lacked down the stretch, and he could end up being very valuable to them.

For Denver, it will be Knowshon Moreno. He got banged up vs. the Patriots a few weeks ago, so his health, much like Harvin's, will be critical. If Moreno can help establish some type of running game, then that should be able to keep the Seahawks defense balanced enough to where the Broncos will be able to do whatever they want.

All in all, I think this game will be rather entertaining. Big plays will need to be made, and I can't wait to see who makes them.

Prediction: And with that said, I'm going to have to with the Denver Broncos winning Super Bowl XLVIII, by a score of 30-20. This has been the year of Peyton Manning, and I don't think anything can stop him from getting ring and Super Bowl MVP #2.

Who do you think is going to win the Super Bowl? Let us know in the comments! (Apparently Twitter is picking Seattle)
